My problem is also that (being the author of the source code and the main author of documentation at the same time) I lack the necessary distance to the product which would allow me to write in a way that meets the expectation of a typical first time reader.

Your improvements of the DPL manual

Thank you very much for the improvements you made! With English not being my mother tongue there are certain deficits and shortcomings in the current documentation. I can clearly see the gain in clarity and precision coming from a native speaker like you. :-))
