* Actually I have a problem with the german version of this DPL-Table (http://de.wiki-products.org/Treibstoffverbrauch_von_PKWs_im_Vergleich). In the first column there is an automatical line breake in the name of the models. This doesn't look very good and I would prefer that the width of the column is adjusted (like in the english version...http://en.wiki-products.org/Fuel_economy). I have no clue why they are different at all. Can somebody help? --[[User:Gollum2|Gollum2]] 13:49, 14 October 2007 (CEST)

There is a html parameter called "nobr" for that purpose. Maybe you can use that.
  • Another specific question: Is it possible to tell dpl to sort the table according to the paramaters in the second column when the page is first loaded? This would really make sense for this example. --Gollum2 14:01, 14 October 2007 (CEST)
you could add a hidden first column, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Sorting#Sorting_with_hidden_sortkey

I tried to add a first (in)visible column. But somehow there is no intial sorting anymore. Do you have an idea what's goning on? Please have a look at: http://de.wiki-products.org/Treibstoffverbrauch_von_PKWs_im_Vergleich . My best, --Gollum2 14:44, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
The initial sort is still determined by your DPL query, so it sorts the articles alphabetically (that is the default). Currently there is no way to order a DPL result by attributes which are derived from the articles' contents. --Gero
Maybe you want to check the "ploticus" extension. Maybe one could use DPL to generate Ploticus scripts ...
