Description: fstraight_phase seems to have no effect

Problem

I would have expected that the edge between A and C is drawn exactly vertically or at least that the edge from A to C hits C in the middle of its upper border....?

See Wgraph:Demo f_straight_phase.

Reply

fstraight_phase simply tries to draw edges as straight lines without bends. It makes no promises about the angle at which the straight line is drawn in relation to the coordinate system.

Also, the algorithm tries to eliminate bends precisely by correcting port positions (i.e. by moving the points at which edges attach to nodes). Consequently, in this mode, one should rather not expect an edge to attach to a node at a particular place.
