Issue:%PAGES% doesn't respect includematch
From FollowTheScore
%PAGES% as documented (and as it works) currently returns the number of pages in a given category or categories.
However, it would be nice if either %PAGES% or some other variable actually returned the number of pages in a given query, respecting options like includematch= and/or maximum counts (max counts is probably less interesting).
In other words, if I have
{{#dpl: |category=Africa |includematch=/\\{{!}}\s*Region\s*\=\s*East/s | |resultsheader=\n== East region countries == |resultsfooter=\n== %PAGES% matched this query == }}
I expect to get the number of pages that match the query, not all Africa category pages in the results count. Yes, my example is a little silly, as i could have put the pages in an "East Region Africa" category, but you get the idea... --Pst 07:18, 13 December 2007 (CET)
