Problem
Hi Gero.
Could it be possible that we can add DPL query in a template page. Then, the pages which match the DPL query will include the template into themself.--Roc michael 00:42, 9 May 2008 (CEST)

Hi Michael, you can place a query into a template page. And if you use the 'skithispage' parameter that query can even collect information about the current page. What do you want? Do you want to create a reference list: "which article uses DPL?" or do you want to create a list "which articles use a ceratin DPL query?". Thank you, Gero for repling.
Since DPL have so many way to select pages (even use regexp), maybe a user can put DPL query in a page to specific some pages to use a specific template (without putting the parser tag like "{{template name}}" in those pages individually). For example,users upload files to a wiki don't need to fill in any information in the counterpart image page anymore if DPL have the function described above. It's just needs to assign a template for the image pages by using a DPL query in a page. Any idea.--Roc michael 23:54, 9 May 2008 (CEST)
Final Remark
The latest version of DPL can be used to update the wiki text of articles; see updaterules. This is a powerful feature but it can also cause trouble if used without caution. It can be used to insert templates into existing articles at a given position. Gero 15:27, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
